Actually, crows are highly social and nest in groups. They even talk to each other and can share descriptions of people who are particularly kind or cruel to them, so that making an impression on one crow makes an impression on the entire flock.
But, yes, that's pretty much the gist of why Cordis makes it hard to be alone. We burn through Chroma faster, too.
